A Clinical Contract Assessment identifies product utilization opportunities enabling a facility to maximize the Baxter contract.
Objectives
Maximize contract benefits by:
- Identifying clinically equivalent Baxter products that can replace non-Baxter product codes.
- Identifying opportunities to consolidate Baxter product codes.
Methodology
I.V. therapy practice and product utilization is monitored throughout the facility. An analysis of product mix and usage, and clinical procedures and protocols, determines the appropriate recommendations. Data are collected through staff interviews and patient care area observations.
